If asked to do so, we will work hand-in-hand with management on implementation.
6. Implement the Plan
We thoroughly analyze the situation; put together a series of action plans for the various components of the organization that aren't reaching their fullest potential; examine the resource requirements versus the company's existing resources; and return to meet with the company team to discuss the findings.
After we have thoroughly examined what is and isn't working, a comprehensive "idea generating" session is required to focus in on the objective. This is basically a meeting where there is a "no holds barred" discussion regarding the company's: Strengths; Weaknesses; Threats; and Opportunities.
Setting aside at least a half, if not a full day (preferably off site to eliminate distractions) to concentrate and focus on the goals and objectives of the company. This helps to determine what is and what isn't working presently and where you want to be.
Many small and medium-sized businesses regard the process of strategic planning as being something that is only done by major corporations with the dedicated staff and resources to carry it out.
In fact, nothing could be further from the truth. The process of producing a strategic plan involves nothing more than bringing the owner(s) and/or manager(s) together to focus their thoughts on where they want their business to head. When it's done properly it brings about successful results and benefits for even the smallest of businesses.
Not only does it focus the owners and managers on what it is they actually want from their business, it's purpose is to work out a series of action plans to identify how the aims and objectives of the business, together with timelines and milestones will accomplish results.
5. Develop a Strategic Business Plan
We develop and deliver a comprehensive Strategic Business Plan, which includes the company's stated goals and objectives; benchmarks; milestones and a timeline for achieving results; and a system to monitor the objectives and benchmarks, which leads to results.
4. Analyzing the Situation and Making Recommendations
The first step of the process is to get the commitment of all of the key individuals that make up the business---the decision makers and those who manage the business daily.
