Phillip J. (Phil) Tullis is a retired Certified Financial Planner and a former industry leader in the Life, Health, Annuities and Mutual Funds investment field.

With over 40 years of business success, the majority of which has been in the financial services sector, a true entrepreneur, he also used his entrepreneurial experience to pursue opportunities' in the wireless communication sector founding Eagle Engineering Technologies to investigate the use of narrowband wireless communications technologies and applications specific to the public utilities and petro-chemical industries using inexpensive narrowband wireless communications pathways for supervisory control and data acquisition.

Phil also helped to organize and assist in the formulation of several additional  wireless companies including U.S. Telemetry Corporation and Datex Spectrum, LLC, which he helped to spearhead the acquisition of over $47 million of private and corporate investment capital, including attracting  the Texaco Corporation as a partner.  Datex is currently the owner of FCC narrowband licenses for Dallas, Houston, Chicago and Los Angeles.

During his earlier days in the financial planning sector Phil was among the top 100 agents in the U.S. for the New York Life Insurance Company where on several occasions he led the company in the sale of disability income insurance; annuities; and mutual funds; and was also one of its top advanced life underwriting producers focusing on estate and business insurance planning.  He was also a leading producer for Manulife and at one point was listed among its top 25 producers.  As he expanded his career he organized his own 10-person financial planning firm, which expanded into the field of comprehensive financial planning services.  He was one of the "pioneers" in the mid-80's in the newly emerging field of comprehensive financial planning and was subsequently contracted with numerous life and health insurance companies in addition to his mutual funds and investments affiliations.   Phil is a former Life and Qualifying member of the prestigious Million Dollar Round Table, and  attained "Top of the Table" status throughout his career.  He was a member of New York Life's Chairman's Council and President's Club and a former ranking member of Manulife's "Top Producers Club."  He was consistently invited to speak around the country at numerous life and health insurance functions on the topic of client development; advanced underwriting; business development; and agent training.

Known for his entrepreneurial passion and creativity in his business endeavors, he is very well respected for his ability to build successful and effective sales teams by teaching others the value of product knowledge; goal setting; follow-through; understanding human psychology in the sales and business development process; work ethic; and developing strong interpersonal communications skills.   He is also experienced in the continually evolving marketing processes associated with the field of e-commerce and the style of sales and marketing communications skills necessary to conduct business successfully over the Internet.

Phil is highly regard for his communicative skills; creative marketing approaches; and his unique ability to deliver complex subject matter in a concise, simple and understandable manner, which have been proven to successfully motivate others.  He has managed sales forces of over 100 individuals, while also conducting one-on-one training for business owners, executives, sales managers, and professional salesmen who are interested in furthering the development of their skills as it pertains to the consultative sales process.  While his primary focus is the financial services industry, he has also consulted to businesses outside of the financial realm.  One of his consulting assignments was to a top 100 GMC dealership where he worked with the dealerships Internet sales team, and helped raise its monthly Internet sales that were averaging 15% of the dealerships volume to over 60% in a short two-year period.

He assists companies and their respective sales teams with his management and strategic planning expertise, verbal communications and writing skills, sales presentation techniques,  simplified, but highly effective fact gathering and case preparation, and sales management skills.  Phil is also well regarded for his high level of proficiency with software tools including Excel, Power Point, Word, Publisher, and a variety of other software's which involve the areas of customer relationship management, customer data base mining, advanced spread sheeting, and audio-visual presentation techniques including teaching and coaching others on how to effectively prepare for and deliver professional presentations to groups or in one-on-one settings.

Phil is a former member of Rotary International and has served as a fund raising chairman for the United Way.  He holds a B.S. degree from Nicholls State University in Business Administration/Pre-Law.  He is married to the former Deborah Allen and between them they have four children and 11 grand children.  His passions include golf, fishing, boating, college football and college baseball---he once served as LSU's Chairman of the Baseball Coach's committee.  He is a native of Houma, LA where he attended Vandebilt Catholic High School and earned All-State honors as a member of its football team.
